- Introduction to CATIA & its interface. Customization of interface. Sketcher basics: constraints – geometric/dimensional.
- Sketch Tools-Grid, snap to grid, construction element, geometrical, dimensional constraint.
Profile toolbar-Profile, predefined profiles, circle, spline, conic, axis, line, point. - Constraint toolbar-constraints defined in a dialog box, constraint, contact constraint, fix together, auto constraint, animate constraint, edit multi constraint.

- Reference elements – Points.
